The OFRW board met at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, to discuss what, if anything, to do with a perceived dues surplus in our account. Reasons include fewer potlucks, and, of those who have them, not all are requesting reimbursement for supplies and food that they buy. Also, we don’t have the cost of mailing newsletters anymore, nor the cost of annual T-shirts. The newsletter is on hiatus, as we will try using email and/or Facebook posts instead for news and events. If you’d like to host a potluck, please email the board at info@orlandofrontrunners.com, or just tell one of us, and we’ll get word out.

In light of all this, the board voted to reduce dues to $15 per person, or $30 per couple (sorry, no discount, but still $5 less than before per couple!)

Also, we voted to match 50% on the dollar for donations to AIDS Walk Orlando on Saturday, May 19, at Lake Eola, up to a total of $500 from the group. To qualify for the match, donate under “OFRW” as the team at the Web site here:

We also plan a dinner and commemorative T-shirt (for those who want one) next January to mark the 20th anniversary of OFRW’s founding. More to come on that.
